Personal Advisers in Cheshire

Provide infromation, advice, guidance and support on issues facing young people, including:

  • Overcoming barriers that might stop them succeeding in life.
  • Making career decisions and understanding their option choices in school and the routes they can take into further education or employment.
  • Providing careers and local labour market information.
  • Lifestyle choices and personal issues.
  • Supporting them in gaining awards such as ASDAN.
  • Finding and applying for jobs or training. We can send young people details of jobs that match the choices they have discussed with their Personal Adviser in school or in our Connexions Centres. Every young person can see a Connexions Personal Adviser, offering help through the Centre or confidentially in a one-to-one room
  • Group activities and workshops.
  • Individual interviews – pupils and parents can request an interview with their Personal Adviser, with ongoing support for those identified as most in need.
