Young People SHINE in Crewe and Nantwich

A Celebration evening was put together by Youth Workers at the HUB @ Connexions in Crewe on the 14th of July.  This was in recognition of and to celebrate the achievements the young people of Crewe & Nantwich had achieved via the provisions they had accessed through Connexions Integrated Youth Support Service.  The evening was to celebrate Shine Week, a national week which showcases the achievements of our local young people.

Young skaters in Crewe work to improve facilities

A group of young people in Crewe who are supported by Connexions – Cheshire & Warrington Limited are working with Police Community Support Officers and local BMX shop owner Mike Warner to try and generate funding for an indoor skate park. On Friday the 25th the group met with MP Edward Timpson to go through plans so far and to seek his support for the venture.

Drop in for Coffee at The Hub @ Connexions

Young people can drop in for coffee at the HUB

On Saturday 27th February from 11 am – 4 pm the HUB @ Connexions in Crewe is inviting young people to call in for a coffee. All drinks are free for people aged 13 – 19 and the HUB is a great place to meet friends and just chill out and have a chat over a coffee.

Personal Advisers and youth workers will be in the HUB all day and all other facilities including computers and publications will be available for young people to use.

Crewe and District Youth Club now open!

On Friday the 13th of November Connexions – Cheshire and Warrington Limited organised the opening of the Crewe and District Youth Club after its refurbishment. The youth club will now run every Friday night from 6.30 till 9pm for all 13 - 19 year olds and is free to attend.

Local Community comes together to re-open youth club

On Friday 13th November 2009 a new multi team partnership in Crewe headed by Connexions – Cheshire and Warrington Limited are planning to open the Mirion Street youth club for 13 – 19 year olds.
 

Young people from the Guy Harvey Youth Club prepare for their international football match

On Wednesday the 28th of October at Crewe Alex Community Soccer Centre, Guy Harvey Youth Centre will be hosting a mini football tournament in honour of a team visiting from Dzierzoniowe; Crewe’s twinned town in Poland. Over 60 young people will be involved in the tournament with the Mayor, Cllr Margaret Simon attending to give a speech before presenting the winners with a trophy.
