Make your passion happen! Competition for 16-18 year olds

What’s the big idea?

Young people know what they love. They know what their passion is. At the National Enterprise Academy we believe that the best entrepreneurs are the ones who listen to that passion and transform it into their future. That’s why we’re teaming up with Grant Thornton to give young people the chance to begin to do just that.

The Competition

Make Your Passion Happen is a competition for 16-18 year olds who have ideas about how they can turn their passion for music, sport, fashion, technology or whatever else into an idea for a business.  Entrants will need to describe what their passion is and how it translates into a business idea.  They can do this in whatever format they feel most comfortable with. Video, audio, drawings, PowerPoint or even a good old essay, the important thing is that they can clearly show what would make their business a success. Students can enter either as individuals or in groups of up to 3.  The competition will run in three regions Oxford & the South East, Manchester & the North West and Sheffield and Yorkshire with finals being held to coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week in November. 5 finalists from each category (Individual and group) will be chosen to compete in each of these regional finals. At these finals, entrants will have the chance to refine their ideas with professional input from the NEA and our partners.  Winners from each region will then be invited to have breakfast with Peter Jones, CBE.
