Four young bands take to the stage in Middlewich
On June 18th the second band night of the summer was held at Middlewich town hall, despite clashing with the second England match over 50 young people attended and the night was a huge success.
Four local bands played during the evening covering a wide variety of musical styles, the crowd were all on their feet in front of the stage for much of the night. KD Acoustic opened the gig followed by Slipstream and Crash Site with Taking Liberties bringing the evening to a close. The atmosphere was fantastic; the room had a real buzz and everyone had a great time.
The next band night is on July 23rd and lots of bands are keen to join the bill, the doors open at 7-30, the £2 entry fee includes a soft drink.
The young people who attended said it is a great event for people their age and the staff at the hall continue to comment on how well behaved everyone is. A management committee of young people has now been formed to take ownership of future events for 13-19 year olds in Middlewich. The young people take control of the photography, lights, music and serving refreshments at these events.
