£250,000 awarded by Young people in Cheshire to enable youth projects to run

81 young people from across Cheshire who have all received training from Connexions - Cheshire & Warrington Limited sit on a panel that makes decisions on funding bids made by other young people. They are responsible for allocating money from both the Youth Opportunities Fund and the Youth Capital Fund and have the potential to have a positive affect on the lives of other young people.

The Future looks bright for young people in Cheshire and Warrington

Connexions - Cheshire and Warrington Limited have not only met, but in some cases exceeded the government targets for the September Guarantee for 2009 in Cheshire East, Cheshire West  and Chester and Warrington. This is an exceptional achievement considering the present economic climate and means that these young people can avoid the uncertainty of searching for a job during this time, instead concentrating on a base of qualifications for their futures.

Chance to win £100 worth of Driving Lessons at free workshops for parents of young drivers in Cheshire, Warrington & Halton

Cheshire Safer Roads Partnership and Connexions - Cheshire and Warrington Limited are providing workshops across Cheshire, Warrington and Halton for parents and carers of young people who are about to learn to drive, or have recently passed their driving test.  One of the free workshops is taking place at Handforth Youth Centre on Thursday 12th November from 7pm until 9pm. The workshop will be a mixture of highly interactive presentations, demonstrations and discussions. Road safety professionals will provide lots of ideas on how to support young people at this critical time.

Young People add their personality to the Red Room Youth Club

A group of young people who attend the Red Room youth Club in Frodsham decided that the place needed a revamp and have been working with youth workers from Connexions – Cheshire & Warrington Limited to add colour and personality in their own very unique way.

Young people from the Guy Harvey Youth Club prepare for their international football match

On Wednesday the 28th of October at Crewe Alex Community Soccer Centre, Guy Harvey Youth Centre will be hosting a mini football tournament in honour of a team visiting from Dzierzoniowe; Crewe’s twinned town in Poland. Over 60 young people will be involved in the tournament with the Mayor, Cllr Margaret Simon attending to give a speech before presenting the winners with a trophy.
